On Tuesday evening, Dior went pretty in pink, transforming a local event space on Sunset Boulevard into a dreamy, candy-colored sweet shop in celebration of the U.S. debut of its new Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil alongside a trio of gourmand fragrances in Peachy Glow, Rosy Glow, and Purple Glow. The playful pop-up marked the final stop of the beauty experience, following its debut in Tokyo.
The sugar-coated world was the result of a creative collaboration between Peter Philips, Dior’s creative and image director of makeup, and Francis Kurkdjian, Dior’s perfume creation director. Together, the duo blurred the lines between makeup and fragrance, crafting an immersive beauty universe where gloss, scent, and spectacle collided.
Guests were welcomed by human-sized Dior Addict fragrance bottles, mirror-lined beauty stations, and a dessert-filled room stocked with M&Ms, gummies, and pastel treats. A DIY canelé station offered bite-sized cakes topped with strawberries, sprinkles, and slivered almonds, turning the launch into a full sensory experience. Everywhere you looked, attendees were swiping, glossing, and trying on the refreshed lip glow oil, now infused with cherry oil for long-lasting hydration.

Philips revealed that the iconic Lip Glow Oil underwent a meticulous two-to-three-year refinement process. “We didn’t want to change too much because it’s already a cult favorite,” he shared. “But we wanted to add pigment and different finishes.” The result was 16 glossy shades and two new shine finishes, one named Sparkly and the other Glaze, both designed to deliver color and glow.

Among the evening’s standouts were Dior’s global ambassadors, Anya Taylor-Joy and Willow Smith, who stepped into the candy-hued fantasy alongside screen stars and content creators. Taylor-Joy, glowing in a custom, fairytale-worthy gown, shared her enthusiasm for the updated formula. “Your lips can actually take much more of the oil than you think,” she laughed. “It doesn’t move that much—so you can go hard with it.”
With its pastel palette, gourmand scents, and high-gloss beauty moments, Dior’s one-night-only sweet shop reminded us all that modern beauty launches aren’t just about products, but world-building. And for one sugar-scented night in L.A., Dior delivered a fantasy worth savoring.
