Quen Blackwell Pulls Vintage Chanel Spring ’93 and the Internet Hasn’t Recovered
By Alexus Mosley
When the archive comes out, attention follows, and Quen Blackwell knows exactly how to make a moment land. For the Coco Crush 10th anniversary dinner at Chateau Marmont, Blackwell dipped into the fashion vault, emerging in a vintage look from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 1993 collection. The result? A reminder that archival Chanel is always the answer.
The yellow tweed tank and black mini skirt color combo felt perfectly at home against the ivy-covered walls and old-Hollywood glow of the Marmont. The Layered Chanel chain belt in mixed gold and silver tones, worn low at the waist for a relaxed finish, sealed the deal of the playful but polished vibe that was signature Chanel in the 90s. At her side was a quilted, black Chanel Mini flag bag with the top handle, while the cherry on top was the minimal gold Coco Crush jewelry.
Consider this a Public Service Announcement: the Chanel archives are alive, well, and clearly still running the room.
