FKA Twigs Makes the Mother Mary Premiere Her Stage in Ashi Studio Couture and Marc Jacobs

If there’s a red carpet, FKA Twigs is certainly going to turn it into a stage. At the Mother Mary premiere in New York City, the songstress stunned in a sharp bodice corset gown by Ashi Studio, which cinched at the waist and flared slightly at the hips. While the top half was smooth and tailored, the lower half dissolved into sheer, distressed layers that moved with a soft, undone fluidity. Delicate embellishments traced the hem, adding texture without taking away from the rawness of the look.

Meeting the softness up top were Marc Jacobs Kiki five-strap platform pumps. Their exaggerated height and weight add a bold, almost surreal contrast to the lightness of the dress. Slightly otherworldly, chaotic, and poetic, a combination that is so FKA Twigs.
