Subtlety is highly overrated, and Rihanna said as much, kicking off Paris Fashion Week at Matières Fécales. The fashion and pop icon stepped out for the label’s presentation in a bronzed two-piece skirt suit that shimmered with every move. The look paired a tinsel-textured jacket with a matching skirt, borrowing the idea of classic tailoring and pushing it firmly into statement-piece territory.
Rihanna finished the outfit with black Christian Louboutin pumps featuring a curved heel, giving the already sculptural look an extra dose of drama.
And of course it worked. Matières Fécales has built its identity around fashion that feels theatrical, unconventional, and a little surreal, and the fashionista is no stranger to daring style looks, so Rihanna’s look felt completely at home in the brand’s world.
