Spotted: Blair Waldorf Is Getting Her Own Sequel
By Alexus Mosley
Hello, Upper East Siders! One of my many sources tells me that Queen B is back.
That’s right! Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar is officially writing a standalone sequel centered on none other than Blair Waldorf. Simply titled Blair, the novel will follow our favorite Constance Billard alum 20 years after her private school reign, as she returns to navigate the rarefied world of Manhattan’s elite. The book is slated to hit shelves in Summer 2027.
While television audiences remember Blair as the perfectly polished Upper East Side socialite portrayed by Leighton Meester, book readers know her story unfolded a little differently on the page. Now, von Ziegesar is opening a new chapter for the original Queen B, one shaped by time, experience, and whatever secrets the Upper East Side never forgets.
Details about the plot are being kept tightly under wraps, but the premise alone has longtime fans buzzing. A grown-up Blair, back in New York, reentering the same glittering social circles? Sounds like unfinished business to me.
Looks like the crown was never retired… it was just waiting for its perfect moment to shine.
You know you love me. XOXO
