Nowadays, nostalgia is all the rage, and Lindsay Lohan is giving the people what they want. On Monday, the actress was spotted in New York City promoting her upcoming film, Freakier Friday, a sequel to the 2003 comedy film, Freaky Friday. Her press tour wardrobe had fashion girls and millennials everywhere doing a double-take. Why? Because Lohan didn’t just show up immaculately dressed, she served twin-coded fashion moments inspired by her cult classic film, The Parent Trap.

During her appearance on Good Morning America, Lohan wore a butter yellow Balmain tweed mini dress with a matching headband and strappy heels, instantly evoking the prim and polished energy of The Parent Trap’s Annie James when we first met her at summer camp while simultaneously giving major Clueless energy (Hello, Cher Horowitz!).

Later that day, Lohan was seen in a more free-spirited ensemble, reminiscent of the more rebellious twin sister, the California-cool Hallie Parker. The moody, printed Oriental Bird dress from Roberto Cavalli’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection. It was a dramatic switch-up from the proper sweetness of her earlier look, and that’s the brilliance of it—two distinct moods, both tied to characters we all grew up with.

What makes these outfits so powerful isn’t just the visual callbacks but the emotional ones. Lindsay is having a renaissance moment, and instead of running from her Disney past, she’s folding it into her narrative with elegance, camp, and a wink. It’s savvy, stylish, and kind of iconic.
