Euphoria Season 3 Premiere Date Revealed, Trailer Teases Five-Year Time Jump

After a four-year wait, Euphoria is officially returning. HBO has announced that the hit series will premiere its third season on Sunday, April 12, 2026, with new episodes airing weekly.
Alongside the release date, the network dropped a highly energized first trailer, confirming a major creative shift for the series: a five-year time jump that moves the characters beyond high school and into early adulthood.
The trailer follows Rue Bennett (Zendaya) as she navigates life after school, narrating, “I don’t know if life was exactly what I wished, but somehow, for the first time, I was beginning to have faith.” That fragile calm is quickly disrupted when Laurie (Martha Kelly) resurfaces, reminding Rue of the dangerous debt she still owes.
Elsewhere, the trailer reveals where the rest of the group has landed. Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are engaged and living in the suburbs, though tensions rise as Cassie begins creating NSFW content online. Jules (Hunter Schafer) is shown in art school, Maddie (Alexa Demie) is working at a Hollywood talent agency, and Lexi (Maude Apatow) has landed a job as an assistant to a showrunner, played by new cast member Sharon Stone.
Creator Sam Levinson has said Season 3 is about what happens when the characters are “out of the safety net of school,” calling the five-year jump a natural progression rather than returning to a traditional high school setting.
Season 3 will consist of eight episodes and is expected to serve as the final chapter of the series. New cast members include Rosalía, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Marshawn Lynch, Eli Roth, and more. Returning favorites include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Colman Domingo. The season will also acknowledge the absence of Angus Cloud, who passed away in 2023.
Production wrapped in Los Angeles in November, aided by a $19.4 million California tax credit. With its darker tone, adult stakes, and long-awaited return, Euphoria Season 3 is shaping up to be the show’s most consequential chapter yet.
