Dove Cameron and Damiano David are officially engaged. After two years of dating, the actress and singer confirmed their engagement on January 3, with Dove sharing a romantic Instagram post that showed off her engagement ring as the couple gazed at each other. “My favourite part of being alive,” she wrote, adding, “Happy New Year.”

The announcement followed months of quiet speculation. Back in October, Cameron sparked engagement rumors after stepping out with a diamond ring on her left hand while walking with David in Sydney, Australia. At the time, neither addressed the rumors publicly.

The engagement also comes shortly after the couple celebrated their second anniversary. In an October post, Cameron reflected on their relationship, writing that the past two years had been “the best” of her life, calling their love deeply transformative and emotional. David echoed the sentiment, later describing their relationship as the “best part of being alive.”

Cameron and David first met at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where both were nominated for Best New Artist. The industry crossing quickly turned into a romance. Since then, the pair have become known for their low-key but deeply affectionate relationship, often sharing intimate moments rather than highly curated couple content. Now, the music-and-Hollywood duo are heading into the new year engaged, marking their biggest chapter yet.
