Victoria Beckham Breaks Silence on Family Rift
By Alexus Mosley
Victoria Beckham is speaking out! In a new interview with WSJ Magazine, the former Spice Girl addressed her family while carefully avoiding any direct mention of her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, amid their ongoing estrangement. “I think that we’ve always—we love our children so much,” she said, adding that she and David Beckham have “always tried to be the best parents that we can be.” The comments mark one of the first times Victoria has publicly addressed the situation, though her response remained measured and notably vague.
The silence hasn’t been mutual. Earlier this year, Brooklyn made a series of explosive claims on Instagram, accusing his parents of attempting to sabotage his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and prioritizing “public promotion and endorsements” over family. He also alleged attempts to control his name and image ahead of his wedding, along with more personal accusations involving family dynamics during the ceremony. “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” Brooklyn wrote at the time, adding that he was “standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Victoria Beckham is finally speaking on the family drama, but didn’t mention Brooklyn Beckham by name once. After his very public accusations earlier this year, her response? Short, careful, and very controlled. Sometimes what’s not said says everything.
