Salma Hayek has officially added a new title to her résumé: grandmother.
The 59-year-old actress celebrated the arrival of her first grandchild after her stepson, François Pinault Jr., and his wife, Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck, welcomed their first child, a baby boy named François.
And apparently, Grandma Salma already has her own name for him.
Hayek shared a sweet video on Instagram on August 16 showing herself cradling the newborn and speaking to him in Spanish. While the baby continues a family tradition as the fourth living generation to carry the name François, Hayek revealed that she plans to call her grandson Panchito.
The new arrival marks another chapter for Hayek’s blended family. She married François-Henri Pinault in 2009, and the couple has an 18-year-old daughter, Valentina. Hayek is also stepmother to Pinault’s three children from previous relationships: François, Mathilde and Augustin.

Hayek has previously spoken about how meaningful that blended family became to her. Although she once imagined having several biological children, she has described becoming a stepmother to her husband’s children as a blessing that ultimately gave her the large family she’d hoped for. Now that family has grown by one more.
From Hollywood star to mom and stepmom, Grandma Salma might be Hayek’s sweetest role yet.
