In a power move for inclusion and beauty innovation, SKIMS has appointed Diarrha N’Diaye-Mbaye as Executive Vice President of Beauty & Fragrance. The founder of Ami Colé, a celebrated brand known for its melanin-rich shade ranges and community-centered storytelling, is now steering SKIMS’ highly anticipated beauty chapter.

N’Diaye-Mbaye launched Ami Colé in 2021 with a mission to create makeup that truly worked for darker skin tones and to re-center the beauty conversation. The brand earned multiple accolades and devoted followers because it spoke directly to underserved consumers. Despite the brand’s closure earlier this year due to economic pressures, its legacy remains influential.

Now, she joins SKIMS, the shapewear-turned-lifestyle brand founded by Kim Kardashian, to launch the new SKIMS Beauty & Fragrance division. According to the official announcement, N’Diaye-Mbaye will lead product development, innovation, and brand strategy, bringing her authenticity and inclusive ethos to the forefront. “My job is to figure out how we create this second-skin experience for the customer and bridge the gap from clothing to makeup, hair, and fragrance,”  N’Diaye-Mbaye expressed.

This isn’t just a job announcement, but also a cultural moment. With Diarrha N’Diaye-Mbaye at the helm, SKIMS Beauty is poised to deliver just that.
