Margot Robbie recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of Wuthering Heights, but not without bringing a piece of Hollywood history with her. A very glamorous piece, might we add.
At the celebration of the film adaptation of the Emily Brönte romance novel, Robbie wore the iconic Taj Mahal Diamond necklace, a storied jewel once owned by Elizabeth Taylor. The heart-shaped Cartier diamond set was gifted to her by Richard Burton for her 40th birthday. Long associated with one of cinema’s most passionate and tumultuous love stories, the necklace carries a legacy of obsession, devotion, and grandeur, making it a fitting adornment for a film rooted in romantic ruin.

Robbie paired the historic diamond with a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown rendered in black and red, a palette intentionally chosen as a metaphor for the film’s portrayal of decay. The sculptural silhouette and bleeding color story echoed the emotional deterioration at the heart of Wuthering Heights, transforming the red carpet into an extension of the narrative itself.

By wearing Elizabeth Taylor’s diamonds, Robbie positioned herself not just as the star of the evening, but as a modern heir to cinematic femininity.
