More than 25 years after Save the Last Dance, Julia Stiles is apparently ready to show us her moves again.
The actress is reportedly joining the cast of Dancing With the Stars Season 35, which premieres this September. Stiles, now 45, became a defining face of late-’90s and early-2000s teen cinema thanks to movies like 10 Things I Hate About You and, of course, 2001’s Save the Last Dance.
In Save the Last Dance, Stiles played aspiring ballerina Sara Johnson, who trades ballet slippers for hip-hop lessons while pursuing her dream of attending Juilliard. The movie became a bona fide Y2K classic and earned more than $130 million worldwide.
Even better? Stiles is actually a DWTS fan. In a previous interview, she called the competition her “Monday Night Football” and admitted to going down YouTube rabbit holes watching old performances.
Now, more than two decades after Sara’s unforgettable Juilliard audition, Stiles may be competing for a very different prize: the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Alexa, play “You Can Do It.”
