JT Goes Prim and Polished for Chanel in Paris

The City Girl takes the City of Lights. JT stepped out in Paris on Monday for Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, swapping her usual sartorial playbook for something decidedly more prim and polished.
For the occasion, the rapper embraced the codes of the French fashion house in an all-black knit ensemble. The fitted zip-front jacket featured gold-tone buttons and was paired with a coordinating knee-length skirt, giving the look a ladylike silhouette that felt distinctly Chanel.

But this was hardly a complete personality transplant. JT brought some of her own attitude to the look with glossy black heels, a quilted Chanel bag, and dramatic black sunglasses. A sculptural black hat provided the finishing touch, while a statement gold necklace added just enough glamour to break up the monochromatic palette.

The result was noticeably different from the skin-baring silhouettes, body-conscious pieces and high-octane glamour that have become staples of JT’s wardrobe. Instead, she leaned into a more restrained, sophisticated kind of femininity. Put-together and just a little bit proper.

Rather than forcing her usual aesthetic into the Chanel universe, JT allowed herself to play with another fashion persona entirely. Fashion Week is, after all, as much about transformation as it is about clothes. For one afternoon in Paris, JT traded bombshell for bourgeois. Très chic, indeed.
