Olandria and Brandon Blackwood Are Bringing “Bama Barbie” Glamour to Handbags

Some collaborations feel destined for the girls who still romanticize glossy lip gloss, hot pink accessories, and hyper-feminine glamour. Brandon Blackwood and Olandria’s upcoming handbag collection is exactly that.
Launching May 27 at 12 PM EST, the Olandria x Brandon Blackwood collection introduces four playful handbag styles drenched in “Bama Barbie” pink, hot pink, and jet black. The collaboration includes the O-Zip Mini Trunk, O-Top Handle Bag, O-Vanity Case, and O-Lipstick Case Bag Charm, with the “O” naturally standing for Olandria.
According to Blackwood, the collection was inspired by Olandria wanting “small, really cute day-to-day bags that you can also bring into the nighttime.” While the collaboration builds upon signature Brandon Blackwood staples like the Kendrick trunk and vanity case, the pieces were reimagined with new details, including wraparound zippers and attached compact mirrors. Both firsts for the brand.
The O-Top Handle Bag also subtly incorporates the “O” motif through its curved handles, while the vanity case leans fully into the playful “Bama Barbie” fantasy. “Bama Barbie, she needs a vanity case,” Blackwood explained while discussing the collection.
The collaboration balances glamour with accessibility through both leather and canvas styles offered across different price points. Olandria first teased the collection during Coachella season, immediately sparking excitement online among fans drawn to her ultra-feminine aesthetic and love of pink.
Between the vanity cases, lipstick bag charms, and saturated Barbie-inspired hues, the collection is perfectly timed for fashion’s ongoing obsession with playful girlhood glamour and statement accessories.
