Tim Burton & Monica Bellucci Split After Two Years

Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci, the elegant screen icon, have officially ended their relationship after two years together. “With much respect and deep care,” the pair said in a statement released on September 19, 2025. 

Though their romantic bond was publicly confirmed in 2023, Burton and Bellucci’s connection began much earlier. They first crossed paths in 2006 at the Cannes Film Festival and reconnected in 2022 at the Lumière Festival in Lyon, France, where Bellucci presented Burton with a lifetime achievement award.  Their creative partnership deepened with Burton casting Bellucci in Beetlejuice in 2024, a role that marked a late-career collaboration between two major figures in genre and European cinema. 

In their statement about the split, neither cited drama or scandal; rather, a mutual decision rooted in care and respect.
