Desmond Scott Breaks Silence Following Kristy Scott Divorce Filing, Issues Public Statement

After news broke that influencer Kristy Scott had filed for divorce, her husband, Desmond Scott, publicly addressed the situation for the first time.
In a statement shared via his Instagram Story, Desmond issued an apology to Kristy, their family, and those affected by the public attention surrounding the divorce. “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused,” he wrote.
Desmond emphasized that Kristy remains his priority as the mother of his children, stating that he is fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to their sons. He also acknowledged that the couple faced challenges within their marriage and made efforts to work through them before they decided to divorce.
According to the statement, Desmond said that toward the end of 2025, he expressed a desire to separate and discussed this with Kristy directly. During that period, he admitted to making “choices that I am not proud of,” adding that he took responsibility for his actions and shared this with Kristy personally before the couple ultimately decided to move forward with divorce proceedings.
Desmond concluded by asking for privacy and compassion as they navigate what he described as a “difficult chapter,” thanking supporters for their continued encouragement and noting that he plans to continue sharing content centered on cooking and personal inspiration.
Kristy has not issued a new public statement in response at this time. As previously reported, she filed for divorce on December 30, 2025, citing alleged infidelity, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly.
