Stand-up comedian and actress, Nikki Glaser, didn’t waste a second warming up the room at the Golden Globes, delivering one of the night’s most talked-about jokes at Leonardo DiCaprio’s expense.
Kicking off the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton, Glaser acknowledged the nominees before turning her attention to DiCaprio. “Leonardo DiCaprio is here for One Man Bun After Another,” she joked, playfully riffing on the title of his latest film. She quickly followed up with praise for his career from iconic performances, legendary directors, multiple Golden Globes, and an Oscar before landing the punchline.
“And the most impressive thing,” Glaser added, “is that you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30.”
The line drew instant laughs and set the tone for a night that made it clear no one, no matter how legendary, was off-limits.
