NeNe Leakes is back and Bravo fans can finally exhale.
After years of speculation, headlines, and hopeful whispers, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has officially confirmed her long-awaited return to Bravo. The news follows a Page Six report that Leakes had been in negotiations to appear in the upcoming installment of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, and now, it’s been made official by NeNe herself.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, an emotional NeNe Leakes, 58, shared the news in a selfie-style video. “This has been a really long, long journey,” she said, visibly moved. “I’m happy, overjoyed to say that I will be returning to Bravo. I almost can’t believe the words that are coming out of my mouth.”
And in true NeNe fashion, she didn’t stop there. “I’m excited to see all of you girls… It’s going to be a time. Yes! Bitches, I am back. Now pick your faces off the floor, OK!? See you on Bravo. Love you,” she added, instantly sending the internet into celebration mode.
The return also earned a warm reaction from Andy Cohen, who addressed NeNe’s upcoming appearance on his SiriusXM radio show. Confirming that she will make an appearance on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, Cohen noted the significance of her return.
“She’s gonna be making an appearance,” he said, adding, “People are very happy about it. Listen, we are going to be celebrating 20 years of Housewives, and it would be hard not to without her, and so I’m happy about it.”
For many fans, NeNe’s return feels less like a casting decision and more like a cultural reset. As one of the franchise’s most iconic figures, her wit, presence, and unmistakable one-liners helped define the golden era of RHOA and, arguably, the Housewives universe at large.
Now, as Bravo prepares to celebrate two decades of Housewives history, bringing NeNe back into the fold feels both nostalgic and necessary. One thing is certain: when NeNe Leakes walks back onto Bravo screens, all eyes will be watching, and plenty of faces will, indeed, be picked up off the floor.
