President Trump Says He Is Not Considering a Pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs

Donald Trump has confirmed that he is not considering a presidential pardon for Sean Combs.

During a two-hour interview with The New York Times on Jan. 7, Trump was asked whether he would consider pardons for several high-profile incarcerated individuals, including Combs. Trump acknowledged that Combs had requested clemency but stated he is not planning to grant it.

“He asked me for a pardon… through a letter,” Trump said, adding that he is not considering the request.

When asked about the timing of the alleged letter, Trump suggested he had access to it but did not produce the document. Representatives for both the White House and Combs have not publicly released further details regarding the communication.

Trump previously addressed the issue in October, telling reporters that Combs had sought a pardon while describing the music mogul as “hostile.” At the time, Trump said he had not spoken to Combs in years.

Combs is currently appealing both his conviction and sentence while serving a lengthy federal prison term at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
