Three Arrested in Burglary at Shedeur Sanders’ Home During NFL Debut

By Alexus Mosley

Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a burglary at the home of Shedeur Sanders, officials confirmed this week, while authorities continue to search for a fourth suspect.

The burglary occurred in November at Sanders’ residence in Granger Township, a suburb of Cleveland, while the rookie quarterback was on the field playing his first regular-season NFL game for the Cleveland Browns. At the time, the Browns were facing the Baltimore Ravens in a matchup that marked a major milestone in Sanders’ professional career.

According to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, approximately $200,000 worth of property was stolen during the break-in. Surveillance footage reportedly captured three masked individuals entering the home around 6:46 p.m. Eastern Time and moving through multiple areas of the residence before leaving just before 7 p.m. Authorities say the third arrest was made on December 29 in DeKalb County, Georgia, when officers stopped a vehicle carrying Maurice Taylor. During the stop, police allege they recovered marijuana and a loaded firearm. Investigators believe the suspects fled out of state following the burglary.

In a statement, the DeKalb County Police Department said it was pleased to assist Ohio authorities in resolving the case, adding a clear warning to others: “To criminals who want to hide in our community, know that we WILL find you.” While three suspects are now in custody, officials confirmed that a fourth individual, who has been identified as Carlos Deanthony Morris, remains at large. A warrant has been issued for his arrest as the investigation continues.

The case has drawn attention not only because of Sanders’ rising profile in the league, but also because of the timing of the crime, underscoring the unique vulnerabilities public figures face while their lives play out in real time on national stages.
