Megan Thee Stallion Is Bringing Hot Girl Energy to Broadway in Moulin Rouge!

By Alexus Mosley

It’s officially a Hot Girl Broadway era.

Megan Thee Stallion is heading to the Great White Way for an eight-week run in Moulin Rouge! The Musical from March 24 to May 17 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

The Grammy-winning rapper will take over the role of club owner Harold Zidler after Bob the Drag Queen concludes his run on March 22, and she’s making history while doing it. Megan becomes the first female-identifying performer to play the character in any production of the show.

Alongside a glowing red heart from the iconic Moulin Rouge cabaret, Megan teased the announcement on Instagram with a simple caption: “Thee hottest news on Broadway.”

In a statement, the Houston native called the opportunity “an absolute honor,” adding that while Broadway demands a new level of discipline and storytelling, she’s ready for the challenge, and excited for fans to see a different side of her artistry.

Known for commanding festival stages and award shows, Megan now adds Broadway to a résumé that already includes Grammy wins, Saturday Night Live hosting, and chart-topping hits. From rap superstar to leading lady, Megan Thee Stallion’s next act is officially center stage.

Hot Girl Spring just got theatrical.
