Audrey Plaza Pregnant, Expecting First Baby with Christopher Abbott

In news that feels perfectly on brand, Aubrey Plaza is expecting her first child.
The actress, long regarded as Hollywood’s favorite anti-It Girl, will welcome a baby this fall with actor Christopher Abbott. True to form, the couple kept things quietly under wraps, only subtly stepping into view earlier this year at the Khaite Fall/Winter 2026 show during New York Fashion Week.
Plaza and Abbott’s connection dates back to 2020, when the two starred in the psychological thriller Black Bear. Their creative chemistry carried into the 2023 off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, where they played volatile lovers, an intensity that, it seems, translated beyond the stage.
While Abbott earned a devoted following as Charlie on Girls, Plaza has built a career on doing the exact opposite of what’s expected, from her breakout as April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation to her steady reign as Hollywood’s most intriguing outlier. And now, in what might be her most unexpected era yet, she’s stepping into motherhood. And quietly, of course.
Because if there’s one thing Aubrey Plaza will never do, it’s make a predictable entrance.
