New details are emerging after a suspect was arrested following an alleged burglary at Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills home.
Authorities were called to the 45-year-old reality star’s property shortly before 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, after suspicious activity was reported there. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner told the Los Angeles Times that “a man was seen loading several items into a vehicle at the property.”
The man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary. No one was home at the time of the incident.
Kardashian and her children are reportedly not currently living at the Hidden Hills property while the home undergoes renovations, though vehicles remained at the residence.
While authorities have confirmed an arrest, some details surrounding exactly what happened at Kardashian’s property remain unclear. TMZ previously reported that a man allegedly entered the home and took several items before taking a staff member’s vehicle for a joyride. According to the outlet, a security guard noticed the suspicious activity and alerted authorities.
However, sources close to Kardashian reportedly disputed portions of that account, telling TMZ that the suspect never actually gained entry to the house and that Kardashian currently has none of her belongings inside due to the ongoing renovations. The differing accounts leave questions about exactly what was taken and whether the suspect entered the residence itself.
Authorities have not publicly released the suspect’s identity, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Neither Kardashian nor her representatives have publicly commented on the incident.
