Apple Martin is officially entering her Hollywood era. The 22-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is reportedly set to make her movie debut in Nancy Meyers’ upcoming film.
The casting feels very on-brand with Apple, starring alongside an A-list cast that includes Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, Tony Hale, and Erin Doherty in the currently untitled project, which marks Nancy Meyers’ first feature film since The Intern in 2015.
While plot details are still being kept tightly under wraps, Nancy previously described the film as being about “the magic and mystery” of filmmaking itself, which feels very fitting for Apple Martin’s first official step into acting.
The Vanderbilt graduate has already spent years orbiting fashion and celebrity culture. From making headlines at Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris to reportedly becoming the face of Chloé for Summer 2026, Apple has quietly evolved into one of Gen Z’s most closely watched celebrity daughters.
The news also comes after Apple reportedly made a small television appearance earlier this year in HBO’s Rooster, starring Steve Carell, making it clear that entertainment may officially be the family business.
Of course, the internet already has opinions. Between the “nepo baby” discourse and Nancy Meyers devotees celebrating her return to filmmaking, Apple’s debut is quickly becoming one of those pop culture moments people are going to have thoughts about long before the movie even premieres in 2027.
Still, if your parents are Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, starring in a Nancy Meyers movie honestly feels less like a career pivot and more like destiny.
