Sydney Sweeney Launches Production Company Honey Trap With First-Look Sony Deal

Sydney Sweeney is adding another title to her already impressive résumé.
The actress, who has become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand young stars thanks to projects like Euphoria, Anyone But You, and The White Lotus, has officially launched her own production company called Honey Trap. Sweeney announced the news on Instagram by sharing a screenshot of a Deadline article revealing the venture. with “sticking around @honeytrap ,” as the caption. .
The move marks the latest step in Sweeney’s evolution from actress to producer. In recent years, many of Hollywood’s biggest stars have begun building production companies as a way to develop projects they are passionate about and gain more creative control behind the scenes.
Sweeney is attached to produce and star in The Registration, a psychological thriller based on Madison Lawson’s novel. She is also developing Sony’s upcoming remake of Barbarella, the cult science-fiction story that was famously adapted into the 1968 film starring Jane Fonda.
The announcement arrives just days after the Season 3 finale of Euphoria, where Sweeney’s character, Cassie Howard, once again became one of the show’s most talked-about figures.
With Honey Trap, the actress is positioning herself not only as one of Hollywood’s leading stars but as one of its emerging power players behind the camera as well.
