The actress and media personality recently gave a playful update on her rumored romance with the Hot Ones host while appearing at Spotify’s Conversations That Channel Culture panel during Cannes Lions, and her comments are only adding fuel to the speculation that something special may be brewing between the pair.

When host Jay Shetty asked Palmer whether she was “serious” about Evans following reports of their recent New York City date night, the Emmy winner didn’t exactly shut down the rumors. “Oh, we’re talking about this?” Palmer joked. “First of all, I love Sean Evans. I love Sean. Hey, Sean! That’s my guy.”

When pressed further about photos that surfaced earlier this month showing the pair dining together in Brooklyn, Palmer confirmed that they are “hanging out.” As for where things go from here? “We’re just taking it day by day, one wing at a time, so to speak,” she teased, referencing Evans’ wildly popular interview series.

For many fans, the update feels like the latest chapter in a storyline that has been unfolding for years. Palmer first appeared on Hot Ones in 2017, instantly becoming one of the show’s most memorable guests thanks to her humor, charisma, and effortless chemistry with Evans. The pair reunited for another interview years later, and viewers couldn’t help but notice how naturally they connected on screen.

Things took an even more interesting turn in 2023 when Evans openly admitted he had a crush on Palmer, describing her as a “very charming woman.” Palmer later shared the clip on social media and sweetly responded that Evans was “too kind.” Since then, the flirtatious moments have continued to pile up.

Last year, Palmer jokingly asked Evans for a kiss during an appearance on Hot Ones, and the pair shared a playful smooch on camera. Then came the date in Brooklyn when the duo was reportedly spotted enjoying dinner together at the famed Italian restaurant Lucali on June 12. According to eyewitnesses, the pair appeared completely focused on one another throughout the evening. While there was reportedly no public display of affection, observers described Evans as looking particularly smitten.

Whether they’re officially dating or simply enjoying each other’s company remains to be seen. But Palmer’s latest comments suggest that whatever is happening between them, she’s enjoying the journey.
