Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Reportedly Placed in Solitary Confinement After Prison Fight

Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly facing new trouble behind bars.
The music mogul has allegedly been placed in solitary confinement after getting into a physical altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey.
According to TMZ, the confrontation began after another inmate allegedly disrespected Combs, prompting the two men to shove and scuffle before correctional officers stepped in to separate them.
One source claimed Combs “held his own” during the fight. Following the incident, he was reportedly moved to solitary confinement, though it remains unclear whether he is still there or if the altercation could impact his projected release date.
Neither prison officials nor the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the reported incident.
“We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody. Such information would not be available for the public domain,” a representative for FCI Fort Dix told TMZ.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons also declined to comment on any disciplinary matters involving individual inmates, citing privacy, safety, and security concerns.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was transferred to FCI Fort Dix after initially being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
His projected release date has changed several times since his sentencing. After initially being scheduled for release in May 2028, the date was pushed back following reported prison rule violations before later being moved up. As of last month, his expected release date was listed as February 23, 2028.
The Bad Boy Records founder’s legal troubles began in March 2024 when federal agents raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami. He was arrested six months later in New York on charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
While Combs was acquitted of the racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges, he was convicted on the transportation-related offenses that resulted in his current prison sentence.
A representative for Combs has not publicly commented on the reported altercation.
