Blake Lively Spotted in Lake Placid as Taylor Swift’s Wedding Weekend Begins

While much of our attention is fixed on Taylor Swift’s wedding weekend, Blake Lively appears to be spending the holiday somewhere a little quieter.
The actress was photographed in Lake Placid, New York, on Thursday, July 2, alongside her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and their family as they cheered on one of their daughters during a horse show. Located in upstate New York near the Canadian border, Lake Placid is nearly a five-hour drive from New York City, where Swift’s wedding festivities are reportedly taking place.
The sighting has naturally sparked conversation online, particularly as rumors continue to swirl about the status of Lively and Swift’s longtime friendship.
The pair were famously inseparable for years, with Lively appearing at Swift’s parties, inspiring lyrics in the singer’s music, and even allowing Swift to reference the names of her children in songs. However, reports earlier this year suggested the two had grown apart following the legal drama surrounding It Ends With Us. Neither Lively nor Swift has publicly commented on the speculation.
Because of that rumored distance, some outlets have claimed Lively was not invited to Swift’s wedding. Those reports remain unconfirmed.
Of course, being photographed in Lake Placid on Thursday doesn’t necessarily mean Lively won’t make an appearance later in the weekend. For now, though, it appears she’s spending the holiday with her family rather than participating in the wedding festivities that have captivated fans across social media.
As one of pop culture’s most talked-about friendships continues to generate headlines, all eyes will likely remain on whether Blake Lively makes an appearance before the celebrations come to an end.
