Police Respond After Perez Hilton’s Disturbing Livestream Sparks Concern

By Alexus Mosley

Police responded to Perez Hilton’s Miami home after a livestream from the celebrity blogger raised widespread concern among viewers.

According to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received multiple calls after the livestream on Tuesday. When officers arrived at the residence, they spoke with family members and confirmed that Perez was alone inside the home.

In a statement shared with Newsweek, the sheriff’s office said deputies prioritized crisis intervention techniques designed to de-escalate situations involving someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

“At this time, deputies have tactically disengaged while continuing to monitor the situation and providing the needed support to his family,” the statement read.

The incident quickly drew attention across social media, where clips from the livestream circulated online. Pop Culturette is choosing not to share or describe those videos out of respect for the sensitive nature of the situation.

The livestream comes just months after Perez opened up about a serious health scare earlier this year. In March, the blogger revealed he had spent 21 days in the hospital after developing complications from the flu that led to an ulcer, a perforation, and sepsis.

Following his recovery, Perez said the experience changed his outlook on life and inspired him to slow down and spend more time with his three children.

As of now, Perez has not publicly commented on Tuesday’s incident, and no additional updates have been released by authorities.
